Malaysians On Tour: With one round to go, Kelly Tan is T11 at KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, Gavin Green lies T27 at BMW PGA Championship

Malaysian ladies number one Kelly Tan enters today’s final round of the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship in joint 11 place, while her men’s counterpart Gavin Green lies T27 in the BMW PGA Championship with one round to go.

Kelly shot a third round 72 at the par-70 Aronimink Golf Club in Pennsylvania for a 54-hole total of even-par 210, seven shots adrift of leader Sei Young Kim of Korea. The Malaysian lass traded two birdies with four bogeys on a day of tough pin positions in what is the third Major of the abbreviated 2020 LPGA season. She remains on course to better her best-ever Major finish of T30 which came in this event at Sahalee Country Club in 2016.

Gavin meanwhile had a roller-coaster third round of 74 in cold conditions at Wentworth Golf Club in England, mixing an eagle and four birdies with three bogeys, a double-bogey and a triple bogey to lie on four-under-par. He trails leader Tyrrell Hatton of England by 10 shots..

Both tournaments are broadcast live on the Golf Channel (Astro Channel 822). Kelly tees off her fourth round today at 8.05am (Malaysian time 8.05pm) in a three-ball with Danielle Kang and and In Gee Chun, while Gavin starts his final round at 10.20am (Malaysian time 5.20pm) paired with Scotland’s Grant Forrest.
